What we can learn from Bob Ross:
Growing After Failure

Who doesn’t know the legendary Bob Ross with his soothing voice and relaxing landscape paintings? His iconic phrase, now a part of pop culture, is: “There are no mistakes, only happy little accidents.” This wisdom is also a key principle in NLP coaching: “There are no failures, only feedback.”

The same holds true in the business world. Even a failed presentation can offer valuable lessons. You learn more about yourself, your challenges, your audience, and what works – as well as what to improve for next time. With some distance, it becomes clear: What feels might feel like a failure in the moment often carries an opportunity for growth and improvement in the long run.

Failure is part of life – whether personal or professional. The key question is, how do you deal with it?

The best approach? Learn from your mistakes and come back stronger, instead of retreating.

Build resilience, face reality, and objectively analyze your situation. Be courageous and draw on your strengths. Use setbacks as a prompt to refine your strategies and reposition yourself. View every challenge as an opportunity to learn, grow, and actively shape your future.

How do you respond to setbacks? Would you like to explore how to turn them into opportunities?

Let’s work on this together.
